Mrs Mojo's GreenHouse

#1
Mrs Mojo has wanted a small greenhouse for years but we never lived where I could fix her one. Well I don't have that excuse anymore so I finally got one built for her.

First I had to take and level the ground so that it wasn't slanted. As you can see the right side was higher than the left side. The grass that was removed was replanted on the right side in order to make it look nicer.

Then 4 post were hammered about 40-50 cm into the ground using a rubber hammer. Didn't damage the post at all. Next I screwed a 2x4 on the top of the back post so that I could put windows on it with hinges. Then some old bricks were used to build the greenhouse on.

I took 2x4's and placed them on the bricks and screwed them into the post. Then I took some 1x5's and placed them on the 2x4's and also screwed them into the post. I done this so that I could raise the level of soil higher inside the greenhouse. Next I screwed a window between the front 2 post.

Now I was ready to place 3 windows between the back post and the front post. I put hinges on the windows at the back post so that they could be lifted up when it got to hot.

Next I added new soil and transferred the plants into the greenhouse.

On the sides of the greenhouse I used a cheap plexi-glass and made it so that it could be lifted out and removed so that you can work with the plants inside.

Now we just have to add a little water each day and wait until we can harvest the fruits of our labor.

The man I got the windows from said that the windows are from 1860...that's 150 years old. When you get to be as old as I am, it brings joy to your heart to bring back new life to things that are so old.
